It's a collaborative process! Here's how it works:
Initial Consultation: We discuss your overall vibe, must-play songs, and do-not-play lists
Planning Questionnaire: You'll complete our detailed questionnaire about 6-8 weeks before your wedding, covering ceremony music, dinner music, first dance, parent dances, and general reception vibe
Your Input + Our Expertise: You tell us your favorites, we fill in the gaps with crowd-pleasers that match your style
Flexibility: We read the room and adjust on the fly—if your guests love 90s hip-hop, we'll lean into it!
You have as much or as little control as you want. Some couples give us a 200-song playlist; others say "keep it upbeat and fun" and trust us completely.
-
Yes, within reason! Guest requests are filtered through your preferences and the overall flow of the evening. If Aunt Susan requests the Electric Slide and you love it, we'll play it. If she requests death metal at your elegant dinner, we'll politely redirect. You're always in control.
-
We carry backup battery systems for critical components (laptop, controller) that can keep music playing for 3-4 hrs during a power interruption.
-
Yes! Vendor coordination is part of our service. We'll communicate with your:
Photographer/Videographer: Timing for special moments, announcements to gather people
Venue coordinator: Setup logistics, timeline adjustments
Catering: Dinner service timing, cake cutting coordination
Band (if applicable): Transition timing if you have both live music and DJ
We act as your timeline quarterback, making sure everything flows seamlessly.
